STRATEGY FOR PRELIMS 2011

most of u guys must have seen the GS paper 4 prelims 2010. And must also have noted that UPSC is getting more an more unpredictable.
an for beginners my word of caution is that it is very much true.

NOW WHAT TO DO TO TACKLE AGARWAL SIR.........

wel my analysis tels it is not that tough
so let us make a strategy.....
first things first......

KILL GS PAPER..........MY STRATEGY

1. go through d static subjects thoroughly

a. GEOGRAPHY --
firstly read d NCERT books from 6th to 12th standard thoroughly

if any place is in news take care to check it out in the map

focus on india while doin each an every thin written above.

after u r done with d above mentioned,buy a gud helpbook....say
TATA MCGRAW HILL, SPECTRUM or UNIQUE.........
dont b confused... each 1 is as gud as d other...

an u can buy an OXFORD SCHOOL ATLAS to supplement. i recommend OXFORD for its clarity.

supplement ur NCERT knowledge with these books an atlas

then buy a good question bank an start solving. the more u solve,brighter ur chances.
u can buy QBs by Pratiyogita Darpan,Wizard,Civil Services Times etc.

an thats it 4 geography.... dont mess with much material, ending up short of time.

follow this strategy an u wil b able 2 answer more than 90% of d questions correctly.....very easily....my guarantee

upsc changes syllabus

There has been a change in UPSC prelims syllabus. In place of the optional paper ie. geography , history , sociology etc in the prelims, there wil be a common paper for all.
This paper wil test the aptitude of the candidate for civil services. The GS paper remains as it is.
An remember 4 mains each and everythin wil b d same as earlier.
